Cookie Policy What is a cookie and what is it used for?

A cookie is a small file which is sent to the browser and saved on your device when you visit a website such as login.trussardi.com (‘the Site’).
Cookies enable the site to function efficiently and improve the services provided; in addition they are able to provide information to the owner of the site for statistical or promotional purposes, chiefly so as to personalise your browsing experience by recording your preferences (e.g. recording the language and currency you selected, to recognise you on your next visit etc.). Essentially, two macro-categories of cookies can be identified: profiling cookies, where the user’s consent is required (whose purpose is to create user profiles and are generally used to display personalised advertising on the websites) and technical cookies, defined as follows: technical cookies are those used purely for ‘sending communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service, explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such a service’ ( art. 122, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 ‘Privacy Code’). Cookies also differ according to the party which installs them, depending on whether it is the manager of the site visited (so-called ‘ first-party cookies’) or a different party (so-called ‘third-party cookies’).
Which cookies do we use and for what purposes?
All the cookies installed on our site (both ‘first-party’ and ‘third-party’) are purely and exclusively ‘technical’ and thus the user’s consent is not required.
They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They may be subdivided into browser or session cookies, which ensure normal browsing and use of the website, making it possible, for example, to make purchases or log-in to access reserved areas; analytical cookies, treated as technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information in aggregate form about the number of users and how they visit the site in question; function cookies, which allow the user to browse on the basis of a series of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
The following table provides an explanation.
